Introduction: One of the most important factors affecting visual performance during vision aided by night vision goggles (NVGs) is image quality, which depends mainly on the image-intensifier technology used. Although NVGs with green image color (P43 phosphor) are only accepted in military aviation, white image (P45 phosphor) seems to be equally well-regarded by aviators. The aim of our study was to determine if the experience of using NVGs with the green screen affects image preference for that color, and if the screen color preference is related to luminance level.

Background: This study aims to investigate the causal relationship of human plasma metabolites and metabolic ratios with schizophrenia (SCZ).
Methods: We employed Mendelian Randomization (MR) approach to comprehensively analyze two large-scale metabolomics and schizophrenia Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) datasets, incorporating a total of 1091 metabolites and 309 metabolic ratios, with 52017 schizophrenia patients and 75889 healthy controls. The inverse variance-weighted (IVW) method was utilized to estimate the causal relationship between exposure and outcome.

This manuscript describes the development and characterization of electrospun nanofibers incorporating bioactive hydrolysates obtained from the microbial bioconversion of feathers, a highly available agro-industrial byproduct. The electrospun nanofibers were characterized using different instrumental methods, and their antioxidant properties and toxicological potential were evaluated. Keratin hydrolysates (KHs) produced by P45 were incorporated at 1, 2.

Homeostatic plasticity is a mechanism that stabilizes cortical excitability within a physiological range. Most homeostatic plasticity protocols have primed and tested the homeostatic response of the primary motor cortex (M1). This study investigated if a homeostatic response could be recorded from the primary sensory cortex (S1) after inducing homeostatic plasticity in M1.
