Background And Purpose: Anxiety after acute myocardial infarction is well-known phenomenon. This study aimed to examine the psychometric properties of the Arabic version of the Brief Symptom Inventory to measure anxiety in this population.
Methods: This was a prospective observational study among 460 patients. Patients answered the Brief Symptom Inventory and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale to measure anxiety. Complications and other clinical variables abstracted from medical records.
Results: Cronbach's was .86, indicating adequate internal consistency. The item-total correlations and all interitem correlations were all acceptable. Anxiety was independent predictor for complication after acute myocardial infarction and higher in females supporting the construct validity.
Conclusion: Arabic version of the Brief Symptom Inventory is a valid and reliable instrument to measure anxiety after acute myocardial infarction.

Burn scars present psychological and social challenges for patients, classified into atrophic and hypertrophic types. Treatments like corticosteroid injections, laser therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections are commonly recommended for hypertrophic scars, while regenerative medicine and fractional CO2 lasers are linked to some degree of improvement for atrophic scars. Hypopigmented and depigmented burn scars pose ongoing challenges for healthcare providers and patients, with therapies such as intense pulsed light and fractional CO2 laser showing variable effects in treating these conditions.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the adhesive, conductive hydrogel on wound healing when used as a therapeutic dressing. Herein, a dressing of PVA/QCS/TP@Fe (PQTF) was designed and prepared integrating polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), chitosan quaternary ammonium salt (QCS), tea polyphenol (TP), and ferric ions (Fe) by a simple one-pot and freeze-thaw method. In view of the comprehensive properties of PQTF hydrogel, including adhesion, electrical conductivity, and swelling performance, PQTF was selected for subsequent in vitro and in vivo healing promotion studies.
