In the present study, (Paramphistomidae), a parasite of rumina of sheep and cows, was collected from Taif region, KSA, to investigate its identity and the prevalence of infection in livestock. Specific identification was mainly achieved by ITS molecular technique and surface ultrastructure was studied by SEM. Adult is described for the first time from Saudi Arabia. The infection rate is 1% in sheep and 10% in cows. Results indicated that this species isolate was genetically identical with other isolates where matching reach 100%. The primary sequence of the rDNA ITS2+ region of the fluke produces amplicon of 647 bp. SEM results show that no observed papillae around its genital opening. Besides, it has very few scattered small papillae around its oral region with few randomly distributed acetabular papillae. These findings were compared with the same corresponding species in other previous works of literatures.

Impairment of gut barrier integrity is associated with the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal diseases, including inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and coeliac disease. While many aspects of diet have been linked to improved barrier function, (poly)phenols, a broad group of bioactive phytochemicals, are of potential interest. The (poly)phenolic sub-class, flavan-3-ols, have been investigated in some detail owing to their abundance in commonly consumed foods, including grapes, tea, apples, cocoa, berries, and nuts.

Introduction Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is a widely accepted surgical intervention for patients with advanced knee osteoarthritis, aimed at reducing pain and improving functional mobility. Preoperative radiological evaluations, including assessments of joint space narrowing, osteophytes, varus/valgus deformities, and subchondral sclerosis, are essential for planning the surgery and predicting postoperative outcomes. Although extensive research has been conducted internationally, data focusing on populations in Saudi Arabia remain limited.
