Thirty semicarbazone and thiosemicarbazone derivatives (- and -) from chalcones containing furan and thiophene ring were designed and synthesized. They were characterized by IR, H NMR, C NMR and HRMS. The crystal structure of compound was characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic system with space group 2/. The insecticidal activity of the synthesized compounds was screened against and using beta-cypermethrin as the comparative standard. The results displayed that most of them had remarkable insecticidal activity. Among them, compounds showed better activity than beta-cypermethrin against . and . . Compound also possessed a better activity than beta-cypermethrin against . . The insecticidal activities of these compounds have been reported for the first time.

Purpose Of Review: The term metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) refers to a group of progressive steatotic liver conditions that include metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), which has varying degrees of liver fibrosis and may advance to cirrhosis, and independent hepatic steatosis. MASLD has a complex underlying mechanism, with patients exhibiting diverse causes and phases of the disease. India has a pool prevalence of MASLD of 38.

is a highly polyphagous pest that causes substantial agricultural damage. Temperature and insecticides are two major abiotic stresses affecting their population abundance. Heat shock proteins play an essential role in cell protection when insects are exposed to environmental stresses.

Objective: To investigate the physiological characteristics of subspecies (Bti) with double mutations of and genes and to assess the activity of Bti against larvae of under different external factors, so as to provide the theoretical evidence for the use of engineered bacteria of Bti for effective mosquito control.
Methods: wild-type strain Bt-59 and Bt-59 strain with mutation [Bt-59 (Δ)] were cultured in nutrient broth media for 24 hours, and Bt-59 strains with mutation [Bt-59 (Δ)] and double mutations of and [Bt-59 (Δ)] were cultured in nutrient broth media for 48 hours. Then, 5 μL of culture media were transferred to glass sides, and cell morphology and mother cell lysis were observed under an optical microscope.

Background: Cypermethrin (CYP), a synthetic pyrethroid widely used to control plant pests, has been associated with various diseases in humans exposed to pesticides, either directly or indirectly. This study aimed to examine the effects of CYP on learning and memory functions, as well as anxiety-like behavior.
Methods: Forty male Wistar rats (8 weeks old) were randomly assigned to 4 groups: The first group served as the control, while the other three groups received different doses of CYP (5, 20, and 80 mg/kg) via gavage once daily for one month.

Botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) rank among the most potent toxins and many of them are produced by bacteria carrying the orfX gene cluster that also encodes four nontoxic proteins (OrfX1, OrfX2, OrfX3 and P47). The orfX gene cluster is also found in the genomes of many non-BoNT-producing bacteria, often alongside genes encoding oral insecticidal toxins. However, the functions of these OrfXs and P47 remain elusive.
