DSM 292 was originally isolated from soil in 1947 due to its ability to produce antibiotics. The low proteolytic properties of strain DSM 292 warrant its examination as a host for heterologous protein production. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of DSM 292 as established by Illumina MiSeq paired-end sequencing.

There has been an ongoing debate regarding grief, whether it may be at times pathological, and whether it is different from depression. This article addresses those questions by tracking the changing course of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manuals of Mental Disorders (DSMs) since DSM-III and by reviewing the debate concerning grief and depression. At the time when DSM-III was being prepared in the late 1970s (it was published in 1980), there was a concern that normal bereavement (or grief) was being diagnosed as major depression.

Purpose: Conflict and war can have profound psychological and physical consequences, including the displacement of civilians. Sudan currently has the greatest child displacement crisis and the highest number of displaced individuals worldwide. Stressors, such as unemployment, poor socioeconomic conditions, and lack of social integration can increase the risk of developing mental health conditions and worsen pre-existing ones.

Accurate identification and typing of microbes are crucial steps in gaining an awareness of the biological heterogeneity and reliability of microbial material within any proprietary or public collection. Paenibacillus polymyxa is a bacterial species of great agricultural and industrial importance due to its plant growth-promoting activities and production of several relevant secondary metabolites. In recent years, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionisation time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) has been widely used as an alternative rapid tool for identifying, typing, and differentiating closely related strains.
