APS is an autoimmune disorder characterized by thrombosis and pregnancy complications, primarily driven by aPLs such as LA, aCL and anti-β2 glycoprotein I (a-β2GPI). Despite advances in anticoagulation therapies, managing refractory APS cases remains challenging. Emerging therapies, including rituximab, eculizumab and HCQ, show potential in addressing the underlying mechanisms of APS.

There should be no assumption that an athlete is immune to coronary artery disease (CAD), even when traditional cardiovascular (CV) risk factors appear well-managed. Stable isotope analysis has become a valuable tool for studying food chain processes and verifying the authenticity and geographical origin of typical products. The analysis is particularly important for those foods with geographical indications, such as Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena labelled with the protected designation of origin mark (ABTM PDO) and Aceto Balsamico di Modena with the protected geographical indication (ABM PGI). Understanding how the aging process affects the isotopic composition of specific compounds in ABTM is important for distinguishing between traditional and non-traditional products, as well as for verifying their authenticity.

Objective: Individuals from Black African and Black Caribbean communities (black communities) in the UK bear a disproportionate burden of HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), while exhibiting lower testing rates. The aim of the scoping review was to summarise interventions developed to increase HIV/STI testing among black communities in the UK and describe the facilitators and barriers that influence testing uptake in these populations, according to the Capability Opportunity Motivation Behaviour (COM-B) approach.
Methods: Six databases were systematically searched to identify quantitative, qualitative and mixed-method studies evaluating the effectiveness of HIV/STI testing interventions among black communities in the UK, published from 2000 onwards.
