In this study, liposomes consisting of soybean phosphatidyl choline (SoyPC) and different molar concentrations (10 mol% and 20 mol%) of dioleoyl trimethylammoniumpropane (DOTAP) were prepared by the thin film hydration method and coated with sodium hyaluronate (NaHA) of different MWs (8-15 kDa, 30-50 kDa and 90-130 kDa) and concentrations (0.01-0.2% w/w) using phosphate buffer (PB) or glycerol phosphate buffer (G-PB) as the hydration medium.

One of the main objectives of the ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) technique is to reduce moisture in detection systems, which causes the formation of ion clusters and ion water and a reduction in formed clusters' activity. Thus, one of the methods limiting moisture in a sampling injection system is to use hydrophobic polymeric membranes. The use of membranes with high permeability relative to the analysed organic compounds is required, including toxic agents in air (TAAs).

Cd(Se,Te) photovoltaics (PV) are the most widely deployed thin-film solar technology globally, yet continued efficiency improvements are stymied by challenges at the device hole contacts. The inclusion of solution-processed oxide layers such as AlGaO in the contact stack has yielded improved device open-circuit voltages () and fill factors (FF). However, contradictory mechanisms by which these layers improve the device properties have been proposed by the research community.

In this study, we investigated the efficiency of a bentonite/iron-coated sand (B/ICS) stabilizer in reducing the mobility and accumulation of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Zn, and As) in contaminated sediments. Bentonite is effective in the adsorption of heavy metals, while ICS is effective in the adsorption of As. When combined, the stabilizer can be applied to mixed-contaminated sediments containing both heavy metals and As.
