Members of Generation Y (or Millennials) now make up more than 50% of those in the workplace. They are expected to comprise greater than 75% by 2025. The Millennial generation has brought new idiosyncrasies to the workplace, and most literature has focused on ways to manage these differences. The Baby Boom generation is retiring at an increasing pace, leaving ongoing leadership needs in the care of Millennials. Conversations must now shift from how to lead the Millennials to preparing them to lead others. The SHAPE framework highlights some of the idiosyncrasies of this generation and ways they can be leveraged when approaching the challenges of health care today.

Flexible metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) offer unique opportunities due to their dynamic structural adaptability. This review explores the impact of flexibility on gas adsorption, highlighting key concepts for gas storage and separation. Specific examples demonstrate the principal effectiveness of flexible frameworks in enhancing gas uptake and working capacity.

Health, mental health, and well-being are not 'natural' but are shaped by social and environmental factors. This article aims to reorient the development of all laws and policies to do more to prevent mental ill-health and promote well-being as a core function of the contemporary state. It introduces a new conceptual and empirical model, the Public Mental Health Framework, based on three areas of research: (i) the social determinants of health and mental health, which include social structures and daily living conditions (such as poverty, inequality, education, employment, discrimination, adverse childhood experiences, and crime); (ii) health and human rights; and (iii) the intermediate social model of disability.

Metal-organic framework-based hybrids (MOFzyme) have promising applications in colorimetric aptasensors due to their highly efficient and stable catalytic activity. However, their efficient application in biosensors remains a challenging issue due to the limited reaction site and amorphous structure. Herein, we encapsulated catalase inside MOF cavities to prepare an MOFzyme with many functional groups on its surface, and the functional groups were utilized for the subsequent integration of MOFzyme into the hyaluronic acid-DNA hydrogel.

Although deterministic analysis can provide initial insights into slope stability, there is no way to reflect the true distribution of soil properties within a slope. To further investigate the effects of the spatial variability of soil properties on the stability and failure mechanism of slope under different foundation types, this study develops a framework combining simple limit equilibrium method (LEM), Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS), and random field to incorporate these factors into slope probabilistic stability analysis. The slope models of two typical foundations (e.

Auditory perception requires categorizing sound sequences, such as speech or music, into classes, such as syllables or notes. Auditory categorization depends not only on the acoustic waveform, but also on variability and uncertainty in how the listener perceives the sound - including sensory and stimulus uncertainty, the listener's estimated relevance of the particular sound to the task, and their ability to learn the past statistics of the acoustic environment. Whereas these factors have been studied in isolation, whether and how these factors interact to shape categorization remains unknown.
