Punctal pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia mimicking a mass lesion.

A 46-year-old lady presented with progressively growing mass from the inner side of the right upper eyelid. The mass was elevated, pinkish with surface vessels, engulfing the puncta. Careful evaluation revealed a patent punctal opening. Excision biopsy of the mass was carried out. Histopathology showed pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia with few inflammatory cells. We describe a case of punctal pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia masquerading as a punctal granuloma or papilloma.

This is the case of chronic chromoblastomycosis (CBM) in a 61-year-old male from the Dominican Republic (DR) with extensive cutaneous eruptions over multiple areas of the body including bilateral lower extremities and the flank extending to the back. A 61-year-old male with a history of morbid obesity, chronic kidney disease stage III, and well-controlled hypertension presented to the family medicine clinic for the evaluation of chronic painful skin lesions on his legs and torso. Verrucous skin lesions in diabetic neuropathy (VSLDN) are rare and typically occur at weight-bearing sites due to chronic mechanical stress. This case report describes a 35-year-old man with type 2 diabetes mellitus who developed a verrucous lesion on the dorsum of his left foot following toe amputation and skin grafting. Histological analysis identified pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia with no evidence of malignancy or human papillomavirus infection.
