Background: In August 2023, our hospital confirmed a case of IgA nephropathy complicated with pulmonary infection by Mycobacterium abscess. The patient sought medical attention at our hospital due to "gross hematuria for 10 years, recurrence for 10 days, coughing and sputum production". The patient had pulmonary tuberculosis 15 years ago and had been cured.

Background: Tracheal injury may be a rare complication of the endotracheal intubation procedure. Incidence and determinant factors are not well known, nevertheless a greater incidence have been recognized with a difficult maneuver or the use of nitrogen peroxide. The therapeutic approach can be conservative or surgical, depending on the characteristics of the lesion and of the patient and therefore the outcomes of medico-legal interest can be different.

Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (GPA) is an ANCA-positive systemic vasculitis that mainly involves lungs and kidneys. This condition rarely overlaps with other glomerulonephritides. A 42-year-old man with constitutional symptoms and haemophtoe was admitted to the Infectious Diseases department, where he was subjected to fibrobronchoscopy with BAL (broncho-alveolar lavage) and lung transbronchial biopsy that showed histological signs of vasculitis.
