Gas chromatography-electron impact-mass spectrometry (GC/EI/MS) global profiling of the endo-metabolome of wild and genetically engineered yeast () strains was performed. The strains were treated or not with sub-lethal doses of the fungicide flusilazole, in order to mine the involvement of the ABC transporter YCF1, which is located in the yeast vacuole membrane, in its resistance to fungicides. Raw GC/EI/MS total ion chromatograms (*.cdf format) of the yeast endo-metabolome were recoded, which are included in this article. Since yeast is a model organism, the dataset could serve as a reference for yeast metabolomics studies related to the investigation of the effects of bioactive ingredients on its metabolism. The dataset support the research article " doi: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.pestbp.2019.09.013". 10.1016/j.pestbp.2019.09.013.

Background: This study investigated the selenium-binding capacity of the biomass of two yeast strains, American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) 7090 and CCY 20-2-26.
Methods: The studies carried out methods of bioaccumulation by yeast biomass. Inorganic selenium was added to the culture media as an aqueous solution of NaSeO at concentrations ranging from 0 to 40 mg Se/L.

De novo synthesis of phage genomes enables flexible genome modification and simplification. This study explores the synthetic genome assembly of phage vB_PaeS_SCUT-S4 (S4), a 42,932 bp headful packaging phage, which encapsidates a terminally redundant, double-stranded DNA genome exceeding unit length. We demonstrate that using the yeast TAR approach, the S4 genome can be assembled and rebooted from a unit-length genome plus a minimal 60 bp terminal redundant sequence.

Thioredoxin z (TRX z) plays a significant role in chloroplast development by regulating the transcription of chloroplast genes. In this study, we identified a pentatricopeptide repeat (PPR) protein, rice albino seedling-lethal (RAS), that interacts with OsTRX z. This interaction was initially discovered by using a yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) screening technique and was further validated through Y2H and bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) experiments.
