On the basis of the pyridazinone scaffold and photoinduced electron transfer (PET) mechanism, we designed a smart nitric oxide (NO) probe, , with high sensitivity and selectivity. exhibited a rapid response to both exogenous and endogenous NO. This probe can also be used in tracking and investigating NO generation in animal tissue. In the myocardial fibrosis model for mice, exhibited a powerful imaging property in vivo as a result of unravelling the progressive relationship between the generation of myocardial NO and the occurrence of myocardial fibrosis.

Nondilated left ventricular cardiomyopathy (NDLVC) is a newly defined category of cardiomyopathy. We sought to evaluate and compare the phenotype of NDLVC with DCM using cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging and to investigate the prognostic significance of these conditions. One hundred and fifty patients suspected of having cardiomyopathy referred for CMR were recruited.

Ischaemic heart disease (IHD) remains a major cause of death and morbidity. Klotho is a well-known anti-ageing factor with relevant cardioprotective actions, at least when renal dysfunction is present, but its actions are much less known when renal function is preserved. This study investigated Klotho as a biomarker and potential novel treatment of IHD-associated complications after myocardial infarction (MI) under preserved renal function.

Background: Patients after kidney transplantation (KTx) in childhood show a high prevalence of cardiac complications, but the underlying mechanism is still poorly understood. In adults, myocardial fibrosis detected in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging is already an established risk factor. Data for children after KTx are not available.

Pathological myocardial hypertrophy can induce heart failure with high mortality, it is necessary to explore its pathogenesis. Tripartite motif-containing 26 (TRIM26) belongs to the multidomain E3 ubiquitin ligase family. We observed increased expression of TRIM26 in the myocardium of C57BL/6 mice subjected to transverse aortic constriction (TAC) surgery and neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs) treated with phenylephrine (PE).

Aims: The aim of this study was to develop an ultra-short echo time 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method for imaging subacute myocardial infarction (MI) quantitatively and in an accelerated way. Here, we present novel 3D T- and T -weighted Multi-Band SWeep Imaging with Fourier Transform and Compressed Sensing (MB-SWIFT-CS) imaging of subacute MI in mice hearts .

Methods And Results: Relaxation time-weighted and under-sampled 3D MB-SWIFT-CS MRI were tested with manganese chloride (MnCl) phantom and mice MI model.
