This study evaluates the applicability of the Tropical Rain Measurement Mission (TRMM) 3B43V7 product for use throughout mainland China. Four statistical metrics were used based on the observations made by rain gauges; these metrics were the correlation coefficient (), the relative bias (), the root mean square error () and Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (), and they were chosen to evaluate the performance of the 3B43V7 product at temporal and spatial scales. The results revealed that 3B43V7 performed satisfactorily on all timescales ( > 0.9 and > 0.86); however, it overestimated the results when compared with the rain gauge observations in certain circumstances ( = 9.7%). Monthly estimates from 3B43V7 were in agreement with rain gauge observations. 3B43V7 can effectively capture the seasonal patterns of precipitation characteristics over mainland China. However, 3B43V7 tends to register a greater overestimation of precipitation in the winter ( = 14%) than in other seasons while showing greater consistency with the observations made by rain gauges during dry periods. The 3B43V7 product performs well in the eastern part of mainland China, while its performance is poor in the western part of mainland China. In terms of altitude, 3B43V7 performs satisfactorily in areas with moderate to low altitudes (when altitude < 3,500 m, > 0.9, > 0.8 and < 10.2%) but values increase with altitude. Overall, 3B43V7 had a favorable performance throughout mainland China.

Background: This special section underscores the potential of multimodal measurement approaches to transform psychotherapy research. A multimodal approach provides a more comprehensive understanding than any single modality (type of collected information) can provide on its own.
Methods: Traditionally, clinicians and researchers have relied on their intuition, experience, and training to integrate different types of information in a psychotherapy session/treatment.

Atherosclerosis risk is elevated in diabetic patients, but the underlying mechanism such as the involvement of macrophages remains unclear. Here, we investigated the underlying mechanism related to the pro-inflammatory activation of macrophages in the development of diabetic atherosclerosis. Bioinformatics tools were used to analyze the macrophage-related transcriptome differences in patients with atherosclerosis and diabetic mice.

Dihydromyricetin (Dih), a naturally occurring flavonoid, has been identified to exert a protective effect against ischemia/reperfusion injury. However, the detailed mechanisms remain unclear. Here we investigated the biological role of Dih in preventing hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R) injury in cardiomyocytes.

Objective: To review and compare robot-assisted ipsilateral ureteroureterostomy (RALUU) and laparoscopic ipsilateral uretero-ureterostomy (LUU) in terms of efficacy and outcomes.
Methods: Clinical data of 65 children with complete renal ureteral duplication deformity admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2015 to December 2022 were collected. Among these, 42 patients underwent laparoscopic ureteroureterostomy (LUU), designated as the LUU group, while 23 patients received robot-assisted laparoscopic ureteroureterostomy (RALUU), designated as the RALUU group.
