The comparison of isolated plant cell membranous enclosures can be hampered if their extraction method differs, e.g., in regard to the utilized buffers, the tissue, or the developmental stage of the plant. Thus, for comparable results, different cellular compartments should be isolated synchronously in one procedure. Here, we devise a workflow to isolate different organelles from one tissue, which is applicable to different eudicots such as Medicago x varia and Solanum lycopersicum. We describe this method for the isolation of different organelles from one plant tissue for the example of Arabidopsis thaliana. All compartments are retrieved by utilizing differential centrifugation with organelle-specific parameters.

This study aimed to enhance inulinase production from agricultural biomass pretreated with deep eutectic solvents (DES) using Aspergillus niger A42 (ATCC 204447). Barley husk (BH), wheat bran (WB), and oat husk (OH) were selected as substrates and were pretreated using different molar ratios of choline chloride: glycerol (ChCl: Gly) and choline chloride: acetic acid (ChCl: AA). DES pretreatment was followed by dilute sulfuric acid hydrolysis.

Ion selective membranes with precise Mg/Li separation have attracted extensive interest in lithium extraction to circumvent the lithium supply shortage. However, realizing this target remains a significant challenge mainly due to a high concentration ratio of Mg/Li as well as the relatively close ionic hydration radius and chemical. Herein, inspired by the host-guest recognition between alkali-metal ions and crown ether (CE), a novel approach was proposed to regulate the membrane internal structure by introducing CE to strengthen the complexation between Li and CE.

Background: It has been outlined that LTM (Lower third molar) extracted from patients in which grinding, cleaning, sterilization & demineralization prove to be highly effective as graft material for filling the alveolar socket of the very same patient. These investigations aim to assess the efficiency of ADDM (Autogenous Demineralized Dentin Matrix) graft in third molar extraction sockets.
Purpose: To check the effectiveness of ADDM as graft material in extraction socket by evaluating pain, swelling, trismus, PD (Probing Depth) and bone density.
Background: Abnormal protein depositions of amyloid β and tau are present in the nasal cavity in patients with Alzheimer's disease. This finding raises an idea that nasal tissues would be a promising source of diagnostic biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease. However, the amounts of amyloid β and tau are extremely small, making it difficult to quantify the levels using conventional methods such as ELISA, and thus it is challenging to utilize them for the diagnostic biomarkers.

Disruptions in the central circadian clock (CC), located in the brain, accelerate AD pathogenesis, making the CC a promising target. In preclinical trials, this strategy have shown efficacy but clinical results are inconsistent.
