Background: The Collaborative Approach for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI) Research and Education (CARE) is a recruitment registry that has enrolled over 10,000 AANHPI participants who expressed willingness to participate in Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD), aging, caregiving, and other health research. We report survey results from 24 of the 28 study principal investigators ("users") who utilized CARE between January 2021 and October 2023 to support their study recruitment.
Method: Users answered five questions on a 4-point Likert scale (0 = Strongly disagree to 3 = Strongly agree) related to (1) user experience, (2) usefulness in accelerating recruitment, (3) improving AANHPI representation, (4) whether they would use the registry again, and (5) whether they would recommend the registry to others.

This leaves a gap of knowledge around other contributors to caregiving's long-term effects, including grief. Background: People with dementia have complex palliative care needs including psycho-social, physical and spiritual; however, they are often unmet. It is important to empower people with dementia, family caregivers and professionals to work together to better assess and monitor ongoing needs. This study aimed to co-design and test the feasibility of an integrated model of palliative dementia care to support holistic assessment and decision making for care in the community and care homes (assisted living facilities).

Background: Despite technology adoption and increased dependence on digital technologies, the digital divide persists among older adults. The purpose of this study was to understand barriers and facilitators of recruiting non-English speaking older individuals who are cognitively impaired along with their caregivers for PLAN, an ongoing RCT designed to promote the transition of Korean American older adults with probable dementia and their caregivers into the healthcare system for adequate diagnostic follow-up and care. We also examined online-based recruitment strategies focused on older adults reported in relevant published studies to compare with our experiences.

Background: Black/African American (AA) caregivers of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related disorders can play a critical role in maintaining patient health. AD caregivers who face economic challenges may have less access to resources that may reduce caregiver burden they experience. The North Carolina Department of Commerce ranks the state's 100 counties based on economic well-being and assigns the most distressed counties as Tier 1, and least distressed as Tier 3.
