Published: January 2020

A catalytic system has been developed for the direct alkylation of α-C-H bonds of aniline derivatives with strained C-C σ-bonds. This method operates through a photoredox mechanism in which oxidative formation of aminoalkyl radical intermediates enables addition to a bicyclobutane derivative, giving rise to α-cyclobutyl -alkylaniline products. This mild system proceeds through a redox- and proton-neutral mechanism and is operational for a range of substituted arylamine derivatives.

In this research, graphene oxide-polyaniline (GO-PANI) nanocomposite was successfully synthesized and its catalytic performance was evaluated for the synthesis of N-aryl-1,4-dihydropyridine (1,4-DHP) and hydroquinoline derivatives. The GO nanosheets were prepared using the Hummers' method, and in-situ polymerization of aniline was conducted with ammonium persulfate (APS) serving as the polymerization initiator. The synthesized nanocomposite demonstrated notable efficiency, achieving yields of 80-94% for 1,4-DHP derivatives and 84-96% for hydroquinoline derivatives.

Synthesis of indole-fused benzodiazepine derivatives by photocatalyzed cascade reaction.

Chem Commun (Camb)

We report a cascade synthesis of indole-fused benzodiazepines by the photocatalyzed addition of phenacyl radical, generated from α-acetoxy acetophenone, to 2-(3-methyl-1-indol-1-yl)aniline, and subsequent cyclodehydration. A range of indole-fused benzodiazepines were obtained from readily available substrates.

Matrix effects pose a significant challenge in food analysis for the quantitative analysis of complex food samples. Herein, a novel magnetic covalent organic framework nanocomposite and the copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) click reaction-based stable isotope labeling (SIL) method were presented for highly selective and sensitive detection of steroid hormones in food samples using HPLC-MS/MS. The nanocomposite, FeO@TAPB-COF, with a core-shell structure exhibited high adsorption capacities for steroid hormones.

Synergetic Interface and Bulk Defects Modification with Identical Organic Molecule for Efficient Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells.

Recent progress in inverted perovskite solar cells (IPSCs) mainly focused on NiO modification and perovskite (PVK) regulation to enhance efficiency and stability. However, most works address only monofunctional modifications, and identical molecules with the ability to simultaneously optimize NiO interface and perovskite bulk phase have been rarely reported. This work proposes a dual modification approach using 4-amino-3,5-dichlorobenzotrifluoride (DCTM) to optimize both NiO upper interfaces and reduction of bulk defects in perovskite.
