Endotracheal intubation, a procedure performed using an endotracheal tube (ETT), has been identified as one of the most viable and common methods of managing the airway and artificially supporting respiration. Patient consciousness is an essential factor that is directly linked to airway safety, and an acute drop in the level of consciousness might threaten the airway. A Glasgow Coma Scale score of less than 9/15 is an indication of the need to protect the airway by conducting the commonly known procedure of endotracheal intubation.

Burkitt leukemia (BL) represents a highly aggressive lymphoma characterized by proliferation rates of around 100%, and a frequent spread into the central nervous system. If standard frontline chemotherapy fails, the prognosis is usually dismal, and reports on successful effective salvage therapy strategies for patients with relapsed/refractory BL are scant. Here, we report on a 40-year-old female patient who suffered an early relapse of BL three months after the completion of frontline chemoimmunotherapy.

Background: Although it has been established that adolescent idiopathic cervical kyphosis (AICK) has no known cause, there are associated risk factors. However, the underlying causes remain puzzling. This case report presents severe AICK linked to chronic neck flexion postural habit, treated with combined anterior and posterior correction surgery and review of the literature.
