Aim: This study determined the optimum gamma irradiation dosage to sterilize sodium hyaluronate (HY), single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT), multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and CNT functionalized with HY (HY-SWCNT and HY-MWCNT), evaluated the structural integrity of the materials and assessed whether sterilized materials kept biological properties without affecting renal function.
Main Methods: Materials were submitted to dosages of 100 gγ to 30 Kgγ and plated onto agar mediums for colony forming units (CFUs) counting. Sterilized samples were inoculated with 10Bacillus clausii, submitted again to gamma irradiation, and plated in agar mediums for CFUs counting. Scanning electron microscope was used for structural evaluation of sterilized materials. Tooth sockets of rats were treated with sterilized materials for bone formation assessment and renal function of the animals was analyzed.
Key Findings: The optimum gamma dosage for sterilization was 250 gγ for HY and 2.5 Kgγ for the other materials without meaningful structural changes. Sterilized materials significantly increased bone formation (p < 0.05) and they did not compromise renal function and structure.
Significance: Gamma irradiation efficiently sterilized HY, SWCNT, MWCNT, HY-SWCNT and HY-MWCNT without affecting structural aspects while maintaining their desirable biological properties.

Background: It has been outlined that LTM (Lower third molar) extracted from patients in which grinding, cleaning, sterilization & demineralization prove to be highly effective as graft material for filling the alveolar socket of the very same patient. These investigations aim to assess the efficiency of ADDM (Autogenous Demineralized Dentin Matrix) graft in third molar extraction sockets.
Purpose: To check the effectiveness of ADDM as graft material in extraction socket by evaluating pain, swelling, trismus, PD (Probing Depth) and bone density.

Aim: This study aimed to determine the prevalence of microbiologically confirmed female genital tuberculosis (FGTB) infection in patients attending a tertiary care hospital in North India.
Materials And Methods: A total of 623 endometrial biopsy samples were processed in the mycobacteriology laboratory from the outpatient and inpatient gynecology departments between May 2022 and February 2024. Ziehl-Neelsen (ZN) smear was performed on all samples.

Urinary catheters are commonly used in medical practice to drain and monitor urine of patients. However, urinary catheterisation is associated with the risk of developing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs), which can result in life-threatening sepsis that requires antibiotics for treatment. Using the layer-by-layer (LbL) technique, we assembled a multilayer catheter comprising nine quadruple layers (9QL) of alginate, chlorhexidine (CHX), alginate and poly(β-amino ester) (PBAE) built upon an amino-functionalised silicone.

Background: Asthenozoospermia, characterized by reduced sperm motility, is a common cause of male infertility. Multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagella (MMAF) represent a severe and genetically heterogeneous form of asthenozoospermia. Over 50 genes have been associated, but approximately half of MMAF cases remain unexplained.

Grapholita molesta (Busck) (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) is a major pest of many fruit trees. The large-scale artificial propagation technology of the insect is the basis for the field application of the sterile insect technique and biological control products based on host mass reproduction. However, a low-cost diet with easily accessible materials remains lacking.
