A 29-year-old female presented with abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. She reported no menstrual period for one year. She did report monthly episodes of severe cramping. A loop electrosurgical excision procedure was performed approximately 10 months prior. On pelvic exam, a smooth cervix with scarring over the os was visualized with no evidence of cervical opening. A pelvic ultrasound showed an enlarged uterus with contents within the endometrial cavity likely representing hemorrhage of different ages and ongoing bleeding. Gynecology was consulted and performed an incisional opening of the cervix. The patient was diagnosed with hematometra from scarred cervical os.

Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) during pregnancy is a growing diagnostic modality for a variety of different indications including fetal anomalies and maternal masses. A literature search did not find any case reports diagnosing a short cervix on MRI before 20 weeks gestation.
Case Presentation: A 34-year-old female underwent magnetic resonance imaging for further evaluation of a known ovarian cyst which demonstrated a multiseptated cystic mass measuring 15.

Background: Uterine artery embolization (UAE) is an increasingly common procedure for the management of uterine leiomyoma (fibroid). Up to 70% of White women and more than 80% of women of African ancestry will develop benign fibroid tumors of the uterus, many of whom will have symptoms including increased menstrual bleeding, urinary symptoms, pain, and infertility. When medical management does not adequately treat symptoms, UAE is a minimally invasive surgical treatment option.

However, the specific mechanisms underlying endocervical cell proliferation disorders in women with RPL remain inadequately understood, particularly concerning the role of microbiota and viral infections. The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanisms of endocervical cell proliferation disorders in women with RPL of unknown genesis by examining microbiota, human papillomavirus (HPV) typing, and the expression levels of key molecular biological markers, including p16/Ki-67, BCL-2, miR-145, and miR-34a.

Background: Uterus transplantation is a groundbreaking solution for absolute uterine factor infertility, offering women the potential for full biological motherhood. Since the first human trial in 2012 and the birth of the first baby in 2014, over 140 procedures have been performed globally, resulting in more than 70 live births.
Methods: This review synthesizes data from foundational animal research, patient eligibility criteria, and advancements in surgical techniques for uterus transplantation.
