The development of efficient and stable proton conductors is a pivotal area of research due to their transformative potential in alternative energy technologies. Recently, there has been a surge of interest in synthesizing proton conductors based on polyoxometalate (POM) materials, attributed to their highly negatively charged and oxygen-rich surfaces. In this study, we report on a highly water-soluble giant POM, (NH)[MoO(CHCOO)(HO)]·300HO·10CHCOONH (designated as {Mo}), which was rendered insoluble in water by exchanging its ammonium cations with larger organic cations, specifically histidinium, pyridinium, bipyridinium, and methyl viologen, resulting in His-Mo132, Py-Mo132, Bpy-Mo132 and MV-Mo132, respectively.

Introduction: Aviation safety sensitive personnel (SSP) function in highly complex environments. SSP mental health is thought to support safety, efficiency, and overall health. Research is needed to identify how to optimize and screen mental health across aviation SSP, but no consensus exists on the research priorities that need to be met.

In this report, we successfully engineered a novel probe based on an acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) architecture featuring dicyanovinyl-substituted thieno[3,2-]thiophene, termed DCVTT. The designed probe self-assembles into luminous nanoparticles (DCVTT NPs) upon introducing mixed aqueous solutions. These fluorescent nanostructures served as a ratiometric probe for detecting cyanide (CN) ions in aqueous-based environments, owing to the robust Intramolecular Charge Transfer (ICT) characteristics of DCVTT.

Catalyst-free coupling of peroxypyrroloindolenines with amines to afford stable peroxyindolenines.

Org Biomol Chem

December 2024

Key Laboratory of Molecule Synthesis and Function Discovery (Fujian Province University), College of Chemistry, Fuzhou University, Fuzhou, Fujian 350116, China.

Here we report a highly efficient method for coupling of peroxypyrroloindolenines with amines under catalyst-free conditions to obtain stable C2-N peroxyindolenines in high yields with remarkable functional group tolerance. Initial studies have shown that compound 13 exhibits potent inhibition of the B16/F10 cell line with an IC value of 2.18 μM.
