Background: Interventional therapy, currently, has become a major method for the clinical treatment of liver cancer patients. However, interventional therapy can also lead to various toxic side effects, and combined with the impact of the disease itself, liver cancer patients often experience more severe emotional distress. Improving individuals' levels of psychological distress tolerance may reduce sensitivity to negative life events and experiences.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) disproportionately affects certain sub-populations, including people with experience of incarceration (PWEI). Little is known about how perceptions of HCV and treatment have changed despite simplifications in testing and treatment in carceral settings. While lutein and zeaxanthin supplements have been shown to improve ocular health, existing research often overlooks the efficacy of lower dosages and shorter durations of supplementation. This study investigated the effects of combined supplementation with lutein, zeaxanthin, and elderberries in 110 voluntary participants through a randomized controlled trial.

A narrative synthesis of 56 studies, following PRISMA guidelines, underscores the significant impact of these gamified interventions on mental health outcomes, emphasizing reductions in anxiety, depression, and burnout while improving coping skills and lifestyle habits.
