Article Abstract

We report a stepwise preparation of triple alkylated or arylated tertiary amines, starting from commercially available tris(2-cyanoethyl)amine using three successive reaction sequences involving a selective oxidation (formation of an -oxide followed by a Cope elimination) leading to an intermediate hydroxylamine, a benzoylation, and a cobalt-catalyzed electrophilic amination with organozinc halides.

Introduction: The clinical translation of chitosan-based formulations for siRNA delivery has been partially limited by their poor stability/solubility at physiological conditions, although they have good biocompatibility and cost-effectiveness.

Method: In this study, the chitosan was O-substituted with diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) groups, which improved its solubility at pH 7.4 by increasing the degree of ionization and enhanced the ability of chitosan to load siRNA at very low amine/phosphate (N/P) ratios.

Objective: To investigate the impact of dexmedetomidine-ropivacaine combination versus sufentanil-ropivacaine combination for epidural labour analgesia on neonatal and maternal outcomes and test the feasibility of a future large, randomised trial.

Design: A randomised, double-blind, pilot clinical trial from 16 March 2023 to 15 June 2023.

Setting: A tertiary-care hospital in Beijing, China.

Lipid nanoparticles (LNP) have shown great promise in clinical applications for delivering mRNA. Targeted delivery of mRNA to particular tissues or organs is essential for precise therapeutic outcomes and minimized side effects in various disease models. However, achieving targeted delivery beyond the liver is a challenge based on current LNP formulations.

Food waste condensate (FWC) is a valuable source for recovering short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) through methods such as supported liquid membrane contactors. Containing organic compounds like acetate, propionate, and butyrate, FWC offers a rich substrate for efficient SCFA extraction. Recovering SCFAs from FWC provides notable environmental advantages, including reducing waste and generating high-value products for industries such as bioenergy and chemical production.

We report a Ni-catalyzed vicinal alkylarylation of unactivated alkenes in γ,δ- and δ,ε-alkenylamines with aryl halides and alkylzinc reagents. The reaction is enabled by amine coordination and can use all primary, secondary, and tertiary amines. The reaction constructs two new C(sp)-C(sp) and C(sp)-C(sp) bonds and produces δ- and ε-arylamines with C(sp)-branching at the γ- and δ-positions.
