Psychogenic dysphagia is a swallowing condition caused by psychological factors rather than structural or physiological disorders such as neurological impairments or physical abnormalities. This condition has a significant impact on a patient's quality of life. Patients should undergo a thorough swallowing evaluation with the involvement of a multidisciplinary team as early intervention leads to satisfactory outcomes.

Background: Distinguishing between arginine vasopressin (AVP) deficiency and primary polydipsia is challenging. Hypertonic saline-stimulated copeptin has been used to diagnose AVP deficiency with high accuracy but requires close sodium monitoring. Arginine-stimulated copeptin has shown similar diagnostic accuracy but with a simpler test protocol.

ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health, Denver, Colorado, USA.
Objective: To complete a descriptive study of seizure etiology in a large population of eating disorder (ED) patients and to better understand whether malnutrition itself, in those with EDs, is associated with seizure development.
Method: In this retrospective study, 75 patients with documented seizures met inclusion criteria from a total of 1664 charts.
Results: Prevalence of seizures in this ED cohort was found to be 4.
BACKGROUND Anorexia nervosa has been referred to as the "great pretender" of medicine and is often misdiagnosed. We present a rare genetic disorder that was misdiagnosed as anorexia nervosa. This case highlights the diagnosis of mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalomyopathy in a patient with previously diagnosed anorexia nervosa, which was discovered due to the metabolic abnormalities and intolerance of nutrition encountered during refeeding.

Psychogenic dysphagia is a deglutition disorder characterized by a fear of swallowing, with no structural or functional causes. This report presents the case of a young male patient who had severe malnutrition due to psychogenic dysphagia and was provided visual biofeedback using fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). A healthy 25-year-old man presented to our clinic with a complaint of throat discomfort when swallowing that had started 6 months prior.
