The International Trauma Interview (ITI) is a clinician-administered assessment that has been newly developed for the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) diagnoses of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD). The current study evaluated the psychometric properties of the ITI for treatment-seeking people with adverse childhood experiences (ACE) in South Korea, with the aims of verifying the validity and reliability of ITI as well as examining the differentiation of ICD-11 CPTSD and borderline personality disorder (BPD). In total, data of 103 people were analysed.

Introduction: George Floyd's death in 2020 galvanised large protests around the country, including the emergence of the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in Seattle, Washington, a non-policed, organised protest region that may have differing injury risks than other regions. We sought to quantitatively describe characteristics of injuries related to protests documented at visits to two nearby major emergency departments, including the only Level 1 trauma centre in the state.

Methods: Using the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision code inclusion criteria, we identified 1938 unique patient visits across the two emergency departments from 29 May 2020 and 1 July 2020.

Background: Research on child protective services (CPS) is impeded by a lack of high-quality structured data. Crucial information on cases is often documented in case files, but only in narrative form. Researchers have applied automated language processing to extract structured data from these narratives, but this has been limited to classification tasks of fairly low complexity.

ChMinMaxPat: Investigations on Violence and Stress Detection Using EEG Signals.

Diagnostics (Basel)

November 2024

Department of Digital Forensics Engineering, Technology Faculty, Firat University, Elazig 23119, Turkey.

Background And Objectives: Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, often termed the letters of the brain, are one of the most cost-effective methods for gathering valuable information about brain activity. This study presents a new explainable feature engineering (XFE) model designed to classify EEG data for violence detection. The primary objective is to assess the classification capability of the proposed XFE model, which uses a next-generation feature extractor, and to obtain interpretable findings for EEG-based violence and stress detection.
