The synthesis of the novel room temperature stable titanacyclopropane derivative Cp*Ti(η-CH)(η-CHAdH) (2) in a one-step-two-transformation protocol and first insights into its reactivity are presented, including the synthesis of the corresponding bis(trimethylsilyl)acetylene complex Cp*Ti(η-MeSiCSiMe)(η-CHAdH) (4). Given these results, a novel one-pot procedure toward CpTi(η-MeSiCSiMe) was subsequently developed.

Titanium (Ti)-based MOFs are promising materials known for their porosity, stability, diverse valence states, and a lower conduction band (CB) than Zr-MOFs. These features support stable ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) transitions under photoirradiation, enhancing photocatalytic performance. However, Ti-MOF structures remain a challenge owing to the highly volatile and hydrophilic nature of ionic Ti precursors.

Under pathological conditions, astrocytes can transfer mitochondria to neurons, where they exert neuroprotective effects. In this context, we present a protocol for capturing astrocytic mitochondria in neurons of adult mice using a two-photon microscope. We describe an approach for constructing a mouse model with combined labeling of astrocytic mitochondria and neurons.

The asymmetric total synthesis of isolinearol, a -dolastane-type diterpenoid that inhibits byssal thread formation by mussels, has been achieved. In the synthesis, the key features include an intramolecular reductive nucleophilic addition using a low-valence titanium species and the direct installation of a ketone side chain. We evaluated their biological activities using the synthetic samples and found the novel inhibitory molecules with a simplified structure exhibit high inhibitory activities against byssus formation and low toxicities.
