Background: Simulated microgravity environment can lead to gastrointestinal motility disturbance. The pathogenesis of gastrointestinal motility disorders is closely related to the stem cell factor (SCF)/c-kit signaling pathway associated with intestinal flora and Cajal stromal cells. Moreover, intestinal flora can also affect the regulation of SCF/c-kit signaling pathway, thus affecting the expression of Cajal stromal cells.

For Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) infection in schools, the local Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends nonpharmaceutical interventions, such as case isolation, school closures, suspension of group activities, reinforcement of ventilation and disinfection for influenza outbreaks. However, there is limited evidence supporting and evaluating the effectiveness of these interventions. On the basis of an outbreak of MP infection occurring in a primary school in Zhejiang Province, a susceptible-latent-overt infected-recessive infected-displaced (SEIAR) model was constructed to quantitatively evaluate the prevention and control effects by simulating the intervention measures mentioned above.

In the process of oilfield development, the surfactant-polymer (SP) composite system has shown significant effects in enhancing oil recovery (EOR) due to its excellent interfacial activity and viscoelastic properties. However, with the continuous increase in the volume of composite flooding injection, a decline in injection-production capacity (I/P capacity) has been observed. Through the observation of frozen core slices, it was found that during the secondary composite flooding (SCF) process, a large amount of residual oil in the form of intergranular adsorption remained in the core pores.

Against the background of increasing salinisation of land, the use of environmentally friendly plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) resources for soil improvement is particularly important. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of DY1-3 on maize seedling growth, soil physico-chemical properties, and bacterial community structure. The study also evaluates the effects of this microbial agent on plant growth and saline soil improvement, providing theoretical references for microbial agents in promoting plant growth and improving saline soils.

Background/objectives: Recent studies have investigated the effects of ketamine on fear memory in animals. However, it is unclear if ketamine might affect avoidance memory and emotional behaviors concomitantly. In this study, we compared the effects of (,)- and ()-ketamine in modulating avoidance responses, depression- and anxiety-related behaviors in stressed mice.
