Dengue has long been a public health problem in tropical and subtropical countries. In 2015, a dengue outbreak occurred in Taiwan, where 43,784 cases were reported. This study aims to assess the impact of dengue on Southern Taiwan's economic growth according to the economic growth model-based regression approach recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Herein, annual data from Southern Taiwan on the number of dengue cases, income growth, and demographics from 2010-2015 were analyzed. The percentage of reduction of the average income per capita in 2015 due to the dengue outbreak was estimated. Dengue was determined to have a negative linear economic impact on Southern Taiwan's economic growth. In particular, a reduction of 0.26% in the average income per capita was estimated in Southern Taiwan due to the 2015 outbreak. If the model is applied alongside other dengue outbreak forecast models, then the forecast for economic reduction due to a future dengue outbreak may also be estimated. Prevention and recovery policies may subsequently be decided upon based on not only the number of dengue cases but also the degree of economic burden resulting from an outbreak.

Various interventions, including caregiver education, psychoeducation, teacher and clinician training and behavioral management embedded with education, are available to enhance awareness and knowledge among caregivers, teachers, and clinicians. This review synthesizes evidence on the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of interventions to increase ADHD awareness and knowledge for caregivers, clinicians, and teachers. Peer-reviewed literature was identified through the systematic searches of six databases: MEDLINE Complete, APA PsycInfo, CINAHL Complete, ERIC, Global Health and EconLit.

A label-free, flexible, and disposable aptasensor was designed for the rapid on-site detection of vancomycin (VAN) levels. The electrochemical sensor was based on lab-printed carbon electrodes (C-PE) enriched with cauliflower-shaped gold nanostructures (AuNSs), on which VAN-specific aptamers were immobilized as biorecognition elements and short-chain thiols as blocking agents. The AuNSs, characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), enhanced the electrochemical properties of the platform and the aptamer immobilization active sites.

Carrying out carbon budget assessment and carbon compensation zoning research from inter-regional perspective can actively boost the formulation of green, low-carbon transformation strategies, guiding the flow of compensation credits, promoting regional equity and sustainable development, and realizing China's "dual-carbon" goal. Huai River Eco-economic Belt is considered to be a typical example of how land use affects carbon budget due to its more drastic land changes. The paper uses the carbon emission coefficient method to analyze the carbon revenue and expenditure of kinds of land-use patterns, and constructs the carbon compensation model with the help of the carbon budget concentration index and the dominant comparative advantage index, and puts forward the carbon compensation zoning program.

Global food production predominantly depends on a limited number of cereal crops; however, numerous other crops have the potential to support the nutrition and economy of many local communities in developing countries. The different crop species characterized as having relatively low perceived economic importance or agricultural significance are known as underutilized crops. Millet is one of the underutilized crops with significant potential to address nutrient and hunger-related challenges in many developing countries like Nepal due to its versatility and climate resilience.
