Background: A routine mandibular fracture matures in about 12 weeks and hence hinders normal function significantly. Alternatives are being researched to hasten the healing and allow early function. This prospective study aimed to assess the osteogenic potential of the drug (CQ) on the mandibular fracture healing.
Design: Prospective randomized study.
Results: The study between the groups revealed a statistically significant increase in the alkaline phosphatase levels in CQ group in comparison with control group. The radiographic findings (increment in density and rate of change of density), clinical findings (mobility, swelling, reduction in pain) and other biochemical findings (serum calcium, serum phosphorous) did not differ statistically between the CQ and control groups.
Conclusion: Based on the lack of a statistically significant improvement in almost all parameters except for the alkaline phosphatase levels, we believe that a larger sample size is required to ascertain the absolute value of CQ before adding it to the mandibular fracture regimen.

Objective: This study compared the fracture load, stress distribution, and survival probability under cyclic loading of extensively restored teeth treated with multisonic irrigation with those treated with conventional instrumentation, with or without a post.
Methods: Mesial-occlusal-distal cavities were prepared in 30 human mandibular premolars. The teeth were randomly divided into 3 groups of 10 based on the endodontic and restorative procedures: (1) Root canal treatment (RCT) followed by resin composite restoration (control group), (2) RCT followed by a glass fiber post restoration (conventional group), and (3) minimal instrumentation plus multisonic irrigation followed by resin composite restoration (GW group).

Acute epidural hematoma is one of the most serious traumatic conditions in neurosurgery, for which emergency surgery may be indicated. Injury to the middle meningeal artery (MMA) is generally the cause of hemorrhage, often accompanied by convexity fractures resulting from head trauma. However, an epidural hematoma by a contusion of the jaw is very rare.

Fractures of the condylar region of the mandible, although fairly common, also generate the most debate regarding management-both closed and open treatment options have been recommended and shown to yield good results. We present our experience with a minimal access retromandibular approach to fractures of the vertical mandible. This is a retrospective study of all patients who underwent open reduction and internal fixation for fractures of the vertical mandible (condyle, subcondylar region, ramus) using a retromandibular approach at a tertiary care hospital in a metropolitan city in India between January 2022 and July 2023.

Introduction: This study aimed to assess the effect of cavity designs on instrumentation, obturation and fracture resistance for mandibular first premolars with Vertucci V canal.
Methods: Mandibular first premolars with Vertucci V canal were scanned with micro-CT. 20 teeth with moderately curved canal were prepared with conservative endodontic cavity (CEC/M) or traditional endodontic cavity (TEC/M), and 30 with severely curved canal were prepared with CEC (CEC/S), modified CEC (MCEC/S) or TEC (TEC/S).
