Multi-state metastability in neuroimaging signals reflects the brain's flexibility to transition between network configurations in response to changing environments or tasks. We modeled these dynamics with a Kuramoto network of 90 nodes oscillating at an intrinsic frequency of 40 Hz, interconnected using human brain structural connectivity strengths and delays. We simulated this model for 30 min to generate multi-state metastability.

Objective: To systematically review the literature on the associations between electroencephalogram (EEG) and brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measures in preterm infants (gestational age < 37 weeks).
Methods: A comprehensive search was performed in PubMed and EMBASE databases up to February 12th, 2024. Non-relevant studies were eliminated following the PRISMA guidelines.

Objective: Non-invasive neuromodulation techniques, particularly transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), are promising for drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE), though the mechanisms of their efficacy remain unclear. This study aims to (i) investigate tDCS neurophysiological mechanisms using a personalized multichannel protocol with magnetoencephalography (MEG) and (ii) assess post-tDCS changes in brain connectivity, correlating them with clinical outcomes.
Methods: Seventeen patients with focal DRE underwent three cycles of tDCS over five days, each consisting of 40-minute stimulations targeting the epileptogenic zone (EZ) identified via stereo-EEG.

These patterns of early behavioral synchrony contribute to the structure and connectivity of the brain in the temporoparietal regions typically associated with language skills. Thus, children attune to their communication partner and subsequently build cognitive skills directly relating to comprehension and production of language, literacy skills, and beyond.
