Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate whether is there any correlation between ABI, TBI & risk factors for cardiovascular events in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who had not been undergoing dialysis
Material: As per inclusion and exclusion criteria 40 patients were included in this observational study. Investigations like CBC, RBS, RFT, urine routine microscopy, USG Abdomen & Pelvis & lipid profile were done and then ABI & TBI was measured in these patients. Then ECG & Echocardiography was also done. Patients were stratified into two groups according to the ABI value with a cut point of 0.9 and TBI value with cut of point 0.7
Observations: 55% patients had dyslipidemia & 37.5 % patients were having ABI & TBI less than 0.9 & 0.7 respectively. Out of Dyslipidemic patients 54.5 % patients had both ABI & TBI Abnormalities. Proportion of patients with dyslipidemia, abnormal ECG finding and abnormal echo finding were more among patients with ABI & TBI less than 0.9 & 0.7 respectively and this difference was statistically significant. (p=0.02).
Conclusions: ABI & TBI both had good association with risk factors responsible for cardiovascular events in CKD patients not undergoing dialysis.

Materials And Methods: We assessed their participation using the CFFS-SWE at three points: upon discharge from the acute hospital, six months post-discharge, and between one and four years after discharge.

This include data from systemic monitoring-mean arterial pressure (MAP), arterial carbon dioxide tension (PaCO), arterial oxygen saturation (SaO), hemoglobin levels (Hb), and temperature-as well as neurological monitoring-intracranial pressure (ICP), cerebral perfusion pressure (CPP), and transcranial Doppler (TCD) velocities. Individuals with traumatic brain injury (TBI) experience and live with physiological, psychological, and social impacts of their injury throughout their lives, including changes in one's sense of personal identity. This qualitative multiple-case study examines the lived experiences of four individuals living with brain injuries and how participation in occupation-based community programming interacts with post-injury sense of self. Study data reveal a dynamic relationship between occupational participation and personal identity that suggests ongoing post-acute occupational therapy services can support recovery including aspects of identity reformation.
