Our work is focused on the future clinical use of oncolytic viruses (OVs) for the treatment of aggressive thyroid carcinomas. Therefore, we provide a brief description of the overall use of OVs in the clinic. Rigvir is among the few OVs that have already been used for the treatment of patients, and studies describing its effects have been briefly commented and cited in our text [1]. [...].

The redox imbalance, caused by depletion or generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), is a key mechanism by which metal complexes exert anticancer effects. Carbidopa has shown the ability to inhibit the MDA-MB-231 cell line, a highly aggressive triple-negative human breast adenocarcinoma, by inducing reductive stress. The metal complex of carbidopa with zinc (ZnCarbi) was designed to modify carbidopa's structure and exhibited increased cytotoxicity against MDA-MB-231 cells.

Background: Gliomas, particularly glioblastoma (GBM), are the most common and aggressive primary brain tumors in adults, characterized by high malignancy and frequent recurrence. Despite standard treatments, including surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, the prognosis for GBM remains poor, with a median survival of less than 15 months and a five-year survival rate below 10%. Tumor heterogeneity and resistance to treatment create significant challenges in controlling glioma progression.

Objective: To describe presentation, treatment and outcome of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) associated-vasculitis in cancer patients in a multicentre study.
Methods: Thanks to the ImmunoCancer International Registry (ICIR), a multidisciplinary network focused on the research of the immune related adverse events related to cancer immunotherapies, patients presenting with a clinical and/or radiological suspicion of vasculitis, and histological evidence of vasculitis after being exposed to ICIs were retrospectively identified.
Results: Twenty eight cases were identified in the ICIR registry.

Introduction: Early-onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD) manifests prior to the age of 65, and affects 4%-8% of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The current analyses sought to examine longitudinal cognitive trajectories of participants with early-onset dementia.
Methods: Data from 307 cognitively normal (CN) volunteer participants and those with amyloid-positive EOAD or amyloid-negative cognitive impairment (EOnonAD) were compared.

Background: The surgical treatment of pituitary adenomas (PAs) is aimed at achieving maximal tumor resection, relieving the compression, and correcting the disorders of pituitary hormones. Parasellar dural invasion is a primary factor in the failure of the surgery. By comparing the two operations of tumor excision combined with resection of the medial wall of the cavernous sinus (MW) and simple tumor excision, we further confirmed the clinical effectiveness and safety of the resection technique of the MW.
