It is known that heterologous antiserum against rat kidney homogenate may induce congenital malformations when injected into pregnant rats during the period of organogenesis. Teratogenic rabbit antibodies against a purified rat renal tubular glycoprotein were isolated, labelled with 125I and injected into pregnant rats on the 10th day of gestation. Extracts of visceral yolk-sacs (VYS) and embryos were obtained 16 h later and chromatographed separately on a Sephacryl S-300 gel filtration column. The resultant chromatograms showed several radioactive peaks, one of which coincided with the eluate of intact rabbit immunoglobulins G (IgG). We interpret the result as an indication that some undigested intact teratogenic IgG were present in VYS and the embryo.

Recently, we found that 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) - the most toxic dioxin - affected multiple cellular processes in AhR-knocked-down granulosa cells, including the expression of genes and the abundance of proteins. Such alterations may imply the involvement of noncoding RNAs in the remodeling of intracellular regulatory tracks. The aims of the current study were to examine the effects of TCDD on the expression of lncRNAs in AhR-knocked-down granulosa cells of pigs and to indicate potential target genes for differentially expressed lncRNAs (DELs).

Metabolic networks are complex, intersecting, and composed of numerous enzyme-catalyzed biochemical reactions that transfer various molecular moieties among metabolites. Thus, robust reconstruction of metabolic networks requires metabolite moieties to be tracked, which cannot be readily achieved with mass spectrometry (MS) alone. We previously developed an Ion Chromatography-ultrahigh resolution-MS/data independent-MS method to track the simultaneous incorporation of the heavy isotopes C and N into the moieties of purine/pyrimidine nucleotides in mammalian cells.
