During the 2018 state legislative session, Virginia's General Assembly approved legislation supporting a transitional licensing model for NPs with at least 5 years of full-time work equivalence in their certification area. This article outlines Virginia's case as an example for NP advocates who are planning scope-of-practice legislation in other states.

EPA reports on food waste management were used as the basis for collecting literature to review. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is an inherited condition characterized by left ventricular, non-dilated hypertrophy in the absence of another secondary underlying cause. There has been an ongoing increase in the diagnosis of HCM over the past couple of decades, prompting further work in the area of pharmacological and interventional therapies. This scoping review aimed to summarize the traditional therapeutic options for HCM and to explore emerging research on novel cardiac myosin inhibitors (CMIs) as a new option for pharmacologic management of HCM.

Each year, millions of animals enter animal shelters across the United States and are met with a variety of potential stressors that can negatively impact their experience, including noise, confinement, and social isolation. Foster care, a unique form of human-animal interaction, is increasingly understood to be an effective tool for improving welfare by allowing animals to escape the stressors of the shelter, providing an environment that allows for greater social interaction, and offering opportunities for improved health and behavior. This review includes 42 published articles, reports, master's theses, and doctoral dissertations that have previously evaluated companion animal foster care programs.
