Aim And Objective: Isoxazolines are an important class of nitrogen and oxygen-containing heterocycles, which have gained much importance as the potential biological agents. In order to study structureactivity relationships of isoxazolines, this work has been conducted.
Materials And Methods: A series of new piperazine substituted 3, 5-diarylisoxazoline derivatives (6-31) were designed and synthesized, and in vitro anti-inflammatory activity in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated RAW-264.7 macrophages and anticancer effect against a panel of human tumor cell lines (Hela, A549 and SGC7901) by MTT assay were evaluated.
Results: The substituents of the NH group of piperazine ring had an obvious influence on biological activities. Especially, compounds 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 27-showed good inhibitory effect on the generation of NO compared to dexamethasone. Furthermore, derivatives 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13 and 26 were found to be potential selectively anticancer activity on human tumor cell lines, which displayed better cytotoxic activity to positive control 5- FU.
Conclusion: Piperazine substituted 3, 5-diarylisoxazoline derivatives could be considered as new antiinflammatory and anticancer agents.

Schiff bases derived from aminoguanidine are extensively investigated for their structural versatility. The tridentate 2-formylpyridine guanylhydrazones act as analogues of 2-formyl or 2-acetylpyridine thiosemicarbazones, where the thioamide unit is replaced by the guanidyl group. Six derivatives of 2-formylpyridine guanylhydrazone were synthesized and their proton dissociation and complex formation processes with Cu(II), Fe(II) and Fe(III) ions were studied using pH-potentiometry, UV-visible, NMR and electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopic methods.

ESBL-producing Enterobacterales and carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales can break down commonly used antibiotics, with some strains being resistant to all available antibiotics. Introduction: Adverse metabolic effects related to dolutegravir (DTG) are increasingly reported as countries are adopting DTG-based regimens as first-line antiretroviral therapy (ART), but there is limited data from sub-Saharan Africa. We explored changes in body weight pre- and post-switch to a DTG-based regimen and assessed the association between DTG switch and significant weight gain (SWG) defined as a ≥10% increase over a 12-month period in people living with HIV (PLHIV) on ART in West Africa.
Methods: We first included all PLHIV followed in the IeDEA West Africa cohorts between January 2017 and June 2021, with a documented switch to DTG during 2019-2021 and in care ≥36 months at the day of switch.
