Extensively drug-resistant (XDR) has become a challenge to the treatment of tuberculosis (TB) in several countries, including Nepal. Here, we report for the first time the draft genome sequence of an isolate of XDR-TB collected in Nepal and describe single-nucleotide variations associated with its extensively drug-resistant phenotype.

Introduction: The phase 2 TROPiCS-03 study evaluated the efficacy/safety of sacituzumab govitecan (SG) as second-line treatment in patients with previously treated extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC).
Methods: TROPiCS-03 (NCT03964727) is a multicohort, open-label, phase 2 basket study in solid tumors, including ES-SCLC. Adults with ES-SCLC that progressed after one prior line of platinum-based chemotherapy and anti-programmed death-(ligand) 1 (PD-[L]1) therapy received SG 10 mg/kg on days 1 and 8 of a 21-day cycle.

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are small, positively charged biomolecules produced by various organisms such as animals, microbes, and plants. These AMPs play a significant role in defense mechanisms and protect from adverse conditions. The emerging problem of drug resistance in microbes poses a global health challenge in treating diseases.

Objective: Patients with drug-resistant epilepsy (DRE) are often referred for phase II evaluation with stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) to identify a seizure onset zone for guiding definitive treatment. For patients without a focal seizure onset zone, neuromodulation targeting the thalamic nuclei-specifically the centromedian nucleus, anterior nucleus of the thalamus, and pulvinar nucleus-may be considered. Currently, thalamic nuclei selection is based mainly on the location of seizure onset, without a detailed evaluation of their network involvement.

Insulin resistance, a key factor in the development of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), is defined as a defect in insulin-mediated control of glucose metabolism in tissues such as liver, fat and muscle. Insulin resistance is a driving force behind various metabolic diseases, such as T2DM, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, coronary heart disease and fatty liver. Therefore, improving insulin sensitivity can be considered as an effective strategy for the prevention and treatment of these complex metabolic diseases.

The current study had aimed to assess the long-term dietary supplementation with Melaleucae aetheroleum, tea tree essential oil (TTO). The impact on growth performance, biochemical indices, immune function, oxidant/antioxidant activity, gene expression, histopathology, and resistance against Aeromonas sobria in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) was investigated. Four groups (with five replicates; G1 (control group, G2, G3, and G4) of Nile tilapia received diets enriched with TTO (doses of 0.
