Background: The angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) insertion/deletion (I/D) polymorphism (rs4340) is associated with the pathogenesis of heart failure (HF). This polymorphism may contribute to a greater propensity for severe HF and excess weight.
Objective: To evaluate adiposity, cardiac function, and their association with ACE I/D polymorphism in HF patients.

Introduction: Advances in imaging methods have led to an increasingly frequent diagnosis of adrenal gland lesions as incidental findings. Despite progress in this field, there is still limited information regarding the epidemiology of the clinical and metabolic profile of patients with adrenal incidentaloma (AI). Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a major cause of mortality worldwide, necessitating more refined strategies for risk assessment. Recently, lipoprotein(a) [Lp(a)] has gained attention for its distinctive role in atherosclerosis, yet its prevalence and impact for cardiovascular risk assessment are not well-documented in the Portuguese population. This study aimed to characterize Lp(a) levels in a real-world Portuguese cohort, investigating its prevalence and association with CVD risk.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a prevalent mental health condition that often begins in adolescence, with significant long-term implications. Indicated prevention programs targeting adolescents with mild symptoms have shown efficacy, yet the methods for identifying at-risk individuals need improvement. This study aims to evaluate the utility of Partial Least Squares Regression (PLSR) in predicting the onset of MDD among non-depressed adolescents, compared to traditional screening methods.

Objective: To analyze the scientific production on Advanced Practice Nursing based on dissertations and theses published in Brazil.
Method: A bibliometric study, with a descriptive approach based on documents, carried out in the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel Theses and Dissertations Bank, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Virtual Health Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and institutional repositories, from October to November 2023.
Results: Of the 25 scientific productions identified, 16 are dissertations and nine are theses.
