The typical linewidths of H NMR spectra of powdered organic solids at 111 kHz magic-angle spinning (MAS) are of the order of a few hundred Hz. While this is remarkable in comparison to the tens of kHz observed in spectra of static samples, it is still the key limit to the use of H in solid-state NMR, especially for complex systems. Here, we demonstrate a novel strategy to further improve the spectral resolution. We show that the anti-z-COSY experiment can be used to reduce the residual line broadening of H NMR spectra of powdered organic solids. Results obtained with the anti-z-COSY sequence at 100 kHz MAS on thymol, β-AspAla, and strychnine show an improvement in resolution of up to a factor of two compared to conventional spectra acquired at the same spinning rate.

This paper is devoted to the investigation of the plasmonic effect of metal nanoparticles (NPs) formed on the surface of the YAG: Bi, Ce, Yb phosphors in a temperature range between 4 and 300 K. Combination of a thin conversion layer with silver plasmonic nanostructures leads to increase of sensitizer absorption and emission efficiency. Enhancement of Bi luminescence in YAG epitaxial films with Ag NPs was observed upon cooling the samples below 200 K.

The synthesis of nanomaterials from PGPB is an exciting approach and it's often used in agriculture as nano-fertilizers and nano-pesticides. The present study reports a new approach to biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNP), using bacterial metabolites as agents to reduce Ag, which will remain as coating agents able to prevent microbial growth. Silver NP were biosynthesized using the bacterial metabolites produced by the beneficial strain Pseudomonas sp.

Introduction: Vocal distortion, also known as a scream or growl, is used worldwide as an essential technique in singing, especially in rock and metal, and as an ethnic voice in Mongolian singing. However, the production mechanism of vocal distortion is not yet clearly understood owing to limited research on the behavior of the larynx, which is the source of the distorted voice.
Objectives: This study used high-speed digital imaging (HSDI) to observe the larynx of professional singers with exceptional singing skills and determine the laryngeal dynamics in the voice production of various vocal distortions.

Background: Fast and accurate classification of steel can effectively improve industrial production efficiency. In recent years, the use of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) in conjunction with other techniques for material classification has been developing. Plasma Acoustic Emission Signal (PAES) is a type of modal information separate from spectra that is detected using LIBS, and it can reflect some of the sample's physicochemical information.

Objective: This study aimed to identify structural changes in age-related curved hair (referred to as "YUGAMI" hair in Japanese) induced by cyclical extension using infrared (IR) spectroscopy coupled with chemometrics, such as multivariate curve resolution (MCR) and two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2DCOS).
Methods: The hair fibres were stretched at a strain level of 0.3-N, and this operation was counted as one cycle and was repeated 500 cycles.
