Background: Sporadic bvFTD is often misdiagnosed as a primary psychiatric disorder (PPD) due to overlapping clinical features and lack of reliable biomarkers. The multi-centre study DIPPA-FTD aims to develop diagnostic- and prognostic-algorithms that can distinguish sporadic bvFTD from late-onset PPD. The aim of the retrospective DIPPA-FTD study was to identify the strongest clinical discriminators.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the risk factors for catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) following radical hysterectomy for cervical cancer (CC). Furthermore, the study seeks to develop a visual model that can effectively assist physicians in improving their proficiency in diagnosing, treating, and preventing CAUTIs.
Patients And Methods: 48 subjects who developed CAUTI postoperatively were assigned to the infection group.

Background And Objective: Vancomycin is commonly prescribed in treatment of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections. While, vancomycins' pharmacokinetic vary among older patients, there is a paucity of data regarding specific characteristics influencing pharmacokinetics in Saudi adult patients. This study aims to establish a population-pharmacokinetic (Pop-PK) model for vancomycin in patients admitted to medical wards, with the focus on identification of patient characteristics influencing vancomycin trough concentrations.

Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) often presents with atypical visual processing, prompting investigation into its connection with retinal features. This study aimed to (I) compare intraretinal layer thickness in the peripapillary region between ASD and neurotypical (NT) groups, (II) assess associations between intraretinal layer thickness and clinical parameters (social functioning and cognitive levels) in ASD subjects, and (III) evaluate the potential of intraretinal layer thickness as a biomarker for ASD.
Methods: Participants were recruited through convenience sampling from the Children's Mental Health Research Center at The Affiliated Brain Hospital of Nanjing Medical University and the Department of Ophthalmology at The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing, China, between December 2019 and August 2023.

During gastric surgery, the stomach wall is compressed with clamps and sutures or staple lines. These short- and long-term deformations can severely compromise the integrity of the tissue and make it difficult for the stomach wall to respond and remodel to the new loading conditions. Consequently, serious intra- and postoperative complications such as the formation of leaks during bariatric surgeries, can be associated with these immense tissue deformations.
