Background: The approach to the mandible for segmental resection in malignant pathologies entails a lip-split, angle-split or visor flap incision with extension of the incision into the neck for performing neck dissection. The modified facelift approach with robot-assisted neck dissection can be used to achieve oncologically safe resections with good cosmesis.

Methods: Three patients meeting the inclusion criteria underwent the procedure at the Robotic facility of HCG Cancer Centre, Bangalore.

Results: The patients were analyzed on the basis of bone defect length, the margin status of primary, functional and aesthetic outcomes. One patient had wound dehiscence and needed secondary suturing. At 6 months, patients were satisfied with the aesthetic outcomes and functional results CONCLUSION: Modified facelift approach is a feasible procedure ensuring better cosmesis without compromising oncological outcomes.

The aesthetics of the periorbital region are significantly influenced by the position of the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, and upper eyelid ptosis, with aging-related eyebrow ptosis playing a major role. Brow lift surgery has seen a marked increase in popularity, driven by a variety of techniques tailored to individual patient needs. The 'gliding brow lift' technique, which employs a minimally invasive subcutaneous approach using a hemostatic net, represents a recent advancement in eyebrow rejuvenation.

Background: Advances in technology have enabled neck dissection techniques that reduce aesthetic impact while maintaining oncological safety. This study compares perioperative outcomes between robotic neck dissection via retroauricular/modified facelift incision (RNDRM) and conventional neck dissection via anterolateral cervical incision (CND).

Methods: Studies were selected from PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library.

Article Synopsis
  • Evaluating the neck's relationship with the lower face is crucial for recommending effective rejuvenation procedures, leading to a new modified Baker classification for aging neck treatments.
  • Over a decade, 450 patients underwent various neck rejuvenation techniques, with a high patient satisfaction rate of 94% and a low complication rate of 1.78%.
  • A thorough preoperative assessment and the proposed classification system are essential in selecting the right surgical method, ensuring reliable results and minimal complications in cervical rejuvenation.

Background: The primary goal of the facelift is to rejuvenate the face without changing its natural features. This involves working on the deeper layers to preserve the surface look while adjusting the fat pads beneath. Thus, we often use a modified High-SMAS facelift method, following this deep-layer approach.
