Post-translational ubiquitination is an essential mechanism for the regulation of protein stability and function, which contributes to the regulation of the immune system. Cbl, an E3 ubiquitin ligase, is particularly well-characterized in the context of T and NK cell signaling, where it serves as a key regulator of receptor downstream signaling events and as a modulator of cell activation. Cbl promotes the proteasomal degradation of TCR/CD3 subunits as well as the protein kinases Fyn and Lck in T cells.

Unlabelled: Despite the fact that canagliflozin (Cana), a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor, is an anti-diabetic medication with additional effects on the kidney, there is limited experimental data to deliberate its hepato-reno-protective potentiality. Acetaminophen (APAP) overdose remains one of the prominent contributors to hepato-renal damage.
Aim: Our study assessed the novel effect of Cana against APAP-induced toxicities.

Schlemm's canal endothelial cells (SECs) serve as the final barrier to aqueous humor (AQH) drainage from the eye. SECs adjust permeability to AQH outflow to modulate intraocular pressure (IOP). The broad identification of IOP-related genes implicates SECs in glaucoma.

In recent years, modulation of microglial phenotype transformation has emerged as a promising strategy for treating central nervous system disorders. Aurantii Fructus Immaturus (Zhishi), a traditional Chinese medicine with versatile applications, contains p-Synephrine (p-SYN) as its principal bioactive compound, recognized for its anti-inflammatory efficacy. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects remain unclear.

Fibrosis results from excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) deposition, causing tissue stiffening and organ dysfunction. Activated fibroblasts, central to fibrosis, exhibit increased migration, proliferation, contraction, and ECM production. However, it remains unclear if the same fibroblast performs all of the processes that fall under the umbrella term of "activation".
