This article discusses the correlation method for time delay estimation, its disadvantages, and drawbacks. It is shown that the correlation method for material velocity measurement based on images of instantaneous changes of the concentration material inside measured by twin planes electrical tomography has serious limitations, especially in the case of plug regime. The basic problem is the non-stationarity of measured data, therefore the requirement of of input data should be fulfilled. The requirement of input data imposes limitations on the possibility of continuous velocity measurement. This means that the material velocity can only be calculated when data are correlatable. An original algorithm of automatic extraction of the suitable time intervals to calculate material velocity is proposed. The algorithm allows measuring the flow velocity in a proper and accurate way. The examples of the correct velocity calculation, using the proposed concept for the gas-solid flow regime, are presented.

The autobiographical implicit association test (aIAT) is an approach of memory detection that can be used to identify true autobiographical memories. This study incorporates mouse-tracking (MT) into aIAT, which offers a more robust technique of memory detection. Participants were assigned to mock crime and then performed the aIAT with MT.

Conventional kinesin protein is a prototypical biological molecular motor that can step processively on microtubules towards the plus end by hydrolyzing ATP molecules, performing the biological function of intracellular transports. An important characteristic of the kinesin is the load dependence of its velocity, which is usually measured by using the single molecule optical trapping method with a large-sized bead attached to the motor stalk. Puzzlingly, even for the same kinesin, some experiments showed that the velocity is nearly independent of the forward load whereas others showed that the velocity decreases evidently with the increase in the magnitude of the forward load.

Seismic profiling in a coal seam enables the determination of anomalous changes in the P-wave velocity compared to reference velocity at a specific mining depth, indicating potential stress changes. This information can improve the coal exploitation processes in advance at greater depths, especially in seismic hazard areas. This study aims to update the empirical mathematical formula for calculating reference P-wave velocities in coal seams by including new data measured at greater depths.

In vitro comparative analysis of metabolic capabilities and inhibitory profiles of selected CYP2D6 alleles on tramadol metabolism.

Department of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Research and Center for Pharmacogenomics and Precision Medicine, University of Florida College of Pharmacy, Gainesville, Florida, USA.

Tramadol, the 41st most prescribed drug in the United States in 2021 is a prodrug activated by CYP2D6, which is highly polymorphic. Previous studies showed enzyme-inhibitor affinity varied between different CYP2D6 allelic variants with dextromethorphan and atomoxetine metabolism. However, no study has compared tramadol metabolism in different CYP2D6 alleles with different CYP2D6 inhibitors.

Purpose: To investigate technical regulation mechanisms of long-distance swimmers that differentiate optimal pacing strategies and the underlying kinematic parameters.

Methods: Twenty-one national and international swimmers were equipped with a sacrum-worn inertial measurement unit performed during 5000-m indoor French championships. Percentage of critical swimming speed (CSS), stroke rate, stroke length, jerk cost, stroke index, and mechanical proficiency score were computed by lap.
