Background And Objective: To evaluate a novel digital method of metamorphopsia quantification in patients with symptomatic visual distortion as determined by M-CHARTS.
Patients And Methods: In this institutional review board-approved, prospective, cross-sectional observational study, subjects were presented with an objectively straight dotted line that bisects a central fixation point. The subjects digitally altered the line's contour until it appeared straight. Calculation of the area between the original objectively straight line presented to the subject and their newly manipulated line was performed to determine the manipulated area under the curve (M-AUC).
Results: Sixty-two percent of test targets were fully or significantly straightened by affected subjects. M-AUC was significantly correlated with M-CHARTS scores in both the horizontal (P < .001) and vertical (P = .05) orientations.
Conclusions: The deformation of an objectively straight line by a subject with metamorphopsia may be a viable way of both quantifying and spatially characterizing visual distortions. [Ophthalmic Surg Lasers Imaging Retina. 2020;51:11-20.].

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of supra-inguinal fascia iliaca compartment block (S-FICB) in patients undergoing proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) internal fixation surgery for intertrochanteric fracture (ITF).
Methods: Retrospective analysis of 95 patients with ITF undergoing PFNA internal fixation surgery in the First People's Hospital of Yong Kang from March 2021 to August 2023 was performed. Among them, 49 patients received general anesthesia (GA; GA group) and 46 patients received S-FICB combined with general anesthesia (S-FICB group).

In trampolining, optimizing body orientation during landing reduces injury risk and enhances performance. As trampolinists are subject to motor variability, anticipatory inflight corrections are necessary to regulate their body orientation before landing. We investigated the evolution of a) body orientation and b) limb position (i.

Background: There is limited evidence to inform exercise prescription for deep neck flexor activation out of supine.
Objective: To compare activation of longus colli (LC) and sternocleidomastoid (SCM) from supine to sitting, and to compare the effect of craniocervical flexion (CCF) exercises in sitting on activation.
Methods: Twenty-four individuals without neck pain (mean age 28.

Introduction: Knee alignment significantly impacts the outcome of total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Understanding patient perceptions of their knee alignment in relation to objective measurements is essential to ensure optimal surgical outcomes and to meet patients' expectations. This study reports patients' perception of pre- and postoperative knee alignment in relation to radiographic alignment measurements.

Objective: To analyze the factors related to spontaneous re-eruption after intruded injury in permanent anterior teeth in children and adolescents.
Methods: Clinical data from 5- to 17-year-old patients who sustained intrusive luxation of permanent anterior teeth and treated in the Department of Pedia-tric Dentistry of Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from June 2015 to August 2024 were reviewed. Information of age, gender, degree of intrusion, direction of intrusion, tooth development, concomitant injuries, luxation and post-osteoclastic eruption of the adjacent teeth were recorded.
