microRNA-204-5p (miR-204) is a small noncoding RNA with diverse regulatory roles in breast cancer (BC) development and progression. miR-204 is implicated in the instauration of fundamental traits acquired during the multistep development of BC, known as the hallmarks of cancer. It may act as a potent tumor suppressor by inhibiting key cellular processes like angiogenesis, vasculogenic mimicry, invasion, migration, and metastasis.

Post-operative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) refers to the functional impairment of the nervous system caused by prolonged exposure to anesthetics. It is known that prolonged exposure to anesthetics may increase the risk for the development of several cognitive impairments. The drugs used to induce general anesthesia are generally safe, owing to the CNS's direct and/or indirect self-protective activity against drug-induced damages.

Acute myeloid leukemia represents a group of malignant blood disorders that originate from clonal over-proliferation and the differentiation failure of hematopoietic precursors, resulting in the accumulation of blasts in the bone marrow. Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have been shown to exert diverse effects on tumor cells through direct and indirect interaction. Exosomes, as one of the means of indirect intercellular communication, are released from different types of cells, including MSCs, and their various contents, such as lncRNAs, enable them to exert significant impacts on target cells.

Background: Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is one of the most common subtypes of thyroid carcinoma. Exosomal miR-181a plays an important role in the development of PTC. This study examined the regulatory mechanism of miR-181a under conditions of hypoxia and its impact on angiogenesis.

Objective: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived exosomes offers several advantages as a cell-free therapeutic agents. In this study, Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells exosomes (UC-MSCs-exos) effects on oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cell line was evaluated.
Methods: UC-MSCs-exos were isolated and co-cultured with OSCC cells and their impact on OSCC was explored by various tests.
