Synthesis of heteropropellanes in one step: the reaction between dicyanomethylene-1,3-indanedione (CNIND) and N-substituted-2-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazinecarbothioamides, furnished (3aR,8bS,Z)-2-amino-9-substituted-10-(2-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazono)-4-oxo-4H-3a,8b-(epithiomethanoimino)indeno[1,2-b]furan-3-carbonitrile as a type of (2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazono[3.3.3]propellanes in good yields as single diastereomers. Structure determination and confirmation of the synthesized products have been achieved using various and modern spectroscopic techniques such as IR, NMR (H NMR and C NMR), mass spectrometry, as well as X-ray crystal analysis. The X-ray structure data cleared that the molecule of 7a was crystalized as monoclinic, space group C2/c (no.15).

The locomotion of various organisms relies on the alternated elongation-contraction of their muscles or bodies. Such biomimicry can offer a promising approach to developing soft robotic devices with improved mobility and efficiency. Most strategies to mimic such motions rely on reversible size modifications of some materials upon exposure to external stimuli.

Using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with radial scanning, images of intact rat lungs and rat lungs with pulmonary hypertension were obtained. The retrospective gating method was applied to construct images of rat lungs during inspiration and expiration phases. Lung volumes at both respiratory phases, relative tidal volume, and the percentage of lung lesions were calculated.

Among the various cations, the Fe ion is one of the most critical transition metal ions in living cells for many cellular functions and enzymatic activities. The decrease or overloading of Fe can lead to different disruptions in humans. Also, Fe, highly toxic, is very common in all industrial wastewater.
