A large solitary mesothelioma was found to exhibit malignant features microscopically, but benign characteristics grossly, including a surgically curative resection. The mixed behavior of this tumor supports the evolving understanding of mesotheliomas as progeny of multipotential subserosal cells with capabilities of differentiating into several tissue types with varying degrees of anaplasia.

Background: Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD), also known as sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy, is a rare non-malignant disorder characterized by excessive proliferation of histiocytes, the cause of which remains unknown. Although the lymph nodes are the most commonly affected site, some patients may present with extranodal involvement, particularly in the skin, nasal cavity, eyes, and bones. In this report, we aim to present a unique case of RDD with pleural involvement in a 61-year-old patient.

Aims: BRCA1-associaed protein-1 (BAP1) inactivated tumours (BIMT) are rare melanocytic tumours that may be mistaken for Spitz tumours or melanoma. They occur sporadically or in association with the BAP1 tumour predisposition syndrome (BAP1-TPDS), which may be complicated by uveal or cutaneous melanoma, mesothelioma, basal cell carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma. The aim of this study was to characterise the clinicopathological features and the immunohistochemical expression pattern of preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma (PRAME) of BIMT in a large patient cohort.

Purpose: Immunotherapies have shown limited responses in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer. Recently, we reported that dendritic cell (DC)-based immunotherapy induced T-cell responses against pancreatic cancer antigens. The primary objective of this study was to determine the efficacy of DC-based immunotherapy to prevent recurrence of disease.
