In this study, meta-transcriptome sequencing was conducted on a total of 18 sugarbeet ( L. subsp) sample libraries to profile the virome of field-grown sugarbeet to identify the occurrence and distribution of known and potentially new viruses from five different states in the United States. Sugarbeet roots with symptoms resembling rhizomania caused by beet necrotic yellow vein virus (BNYVV), or leaves exhibiting leaf-curling, yellowing to browning, or green mosaic were collected from the sugarbeet growing areas of California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, and North Dakota.

Introduction: Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) affects the tissue surrounding the alveoli and occurs when the lung tissue becomes thick and stiff for unknown reasons. Clinical findings are fairly well settled, but the molecular mechanisms of IPF are still poorly known.
Materials And Methods: To further our understanding, we collected publicly available transcriptome dataset from IPF cohorts, grouped them according to sampling method [bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), biopsy, blood], and performed comparative meta-transcriptome study to (I) unravel key pathways (II), set out differences in discovered genes, pathways, and functional annotation with respect to the sampling method, and (III) find biomarkers for early diagnosis.

Background: Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) is one of the most widely used gene expression analyses for validating RNA-seq data. This technique requires reference genes that are stable and highly expressed, at least across the different biological conditions present in the transcriptome. Reference and variable candidate gene selection is often neglected, leading to misinterpretation of the results.

Background: Most researches on sponge holobionts focus primarily on symbiotic microbes, yet data at the level of the sponge hologenome are still relatively scarce. Understanding of the sponge host and its microbial gene expression profiles and the host-microbes interplay in different niches represents a key aspect of sponge hologenome. Using the Hawaiian demosponge Mycale grandis in different niches as a model, i.
