Background: Alterations in cellular metabolism affect cancer survival and can manifest in metrics of body composition. We investigated the effects of various body composition metrics on survival in patients with glioblastoma (GBM).
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed patients who had an abdominal and pelvic computed tomography (CT) scan performed within 1 month of diagnosis of GBM (178 participants, 102 males, 76 females, median age: 62.

Background: Diagnosis of cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) presents a significant challenge in determining whether to propose anti‐amyloid treatment plans. The identification of perivascular spaces (PVS) through MRI serves as a possible strategy to elucidate the physiopathological interconnections between the brain's clearance mechanisms and the accumulation of amyloid. This study endeavors to the association between PVS morphology and CAA pathology.

Background: Highly specific ATN plasma biomarker assays for neurodegenerative diseases have been developed, but their associations with cognition vary in different populations. Kidney disease, common in diabetes, may decrease the predictive precision of those biomarkers. The aim of this study was to characterize for the first time the relationships between plasma ATN biomarkers and cognitive function in adults with T1D.

Background: Synaptic dysfunction plays an important role in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and cognitive decline. We investigated the association between cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) synaptic protein levels and quantitative EEG (qEEG) measures, two modalities to measure synaptic dysfunction in AD pathology. We assessed combined and independent prognostic value of both modalities for cognitive decline along the AD continuum.
