Background: The ST response to high frequency EM heating may give an indication of rate of BF in underlying tissue. This novel method, which we have termed REFLO (Rapid Electromagnetic Flow) has potential for applications such as detection of PAD. The method utilizes the relationship between blood flow rate and tissue temperature increase during exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy.

Purpose: This paper reports a study of electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure of several adult insects: a ladybug, a honey bee worker, a wasp, and a mantis at frequencies ranging from 2.5 to 100 GHz. The purpose was to estimate the specific absorption rate (SAR) in insect tissues, including the brain, in order to predict the possible biological effects caused by EMF energy absorption.

Due to the increase in data rate in mobile communication and the widespread use of mobile internet, electromagnetic communication systems are increasing daily. This situation causes increases in the use of more mobile communication devices and environmental non-ionizing Electromagnetic Field (EMF) levels. The rise of bee deaths and colony losses in beekeeping parallel to the increase of the EMF sources cause the concept of "electromagnetic pollution" to be considered among the reasons.

Invisibility─the remarkable ability to render objects imperceptible─has long been a persistent dream of humankind. However, traditional cloaking materials are typically rigid and inflexible, limiting their adaptability to various shapes and requirements. Even when flexibility is achieved, uncontrollable scattering in complex electromagnetic environments continues to pose significant challenges in the design of flexible cloaks.
