Purpose: Rodents live in proximity to humans and domestic animals. These creatures can serve as reservoir hosts for many zoonotic parasites; therefore, they increase the risk of human infections. The aim of this study was to investigate and in rodents caught in Meshgin-Shahr District, Iran.
Patients And Methods: In a cross-sectional study, brain samples were collected from 70 rodents caught in Meshgin-Shahr District during March and December 2015. The specimens were examined for exposure to and with molecular methods.
Results: Seventy rodents were caught, including 50 , 11 and 9 . Thirty rodents were female and 40 were males. Using PCR (B1 gene), was detected in 7.1% (5/70) of the rodents while was not detected. The prevalence of infection was higher in female rodents (4.28%) compared to male rodents (2.86%), but the difference was not significant.
Conclusion: The results showed a low risk of and among rodents. Finally, further research is needed to understand the role of these rodent species in the transmission of the above protozoan pathogens to humans and livestock in this area.

Kobuviruses (family , genus ) are enteric viruses that infect a wide range of both human and animal hosts. Much of the evolutionary history of kobuviruses remains elusive, largely due to limited screening in wildlife. Bats have been implicated as major sources of virulent zoonoses, including coronaviruses, henipaviruses, and filoviruses, though much of the bat virome still remains uncharacterized.

Rats are rodents commonly found in Thailand that carry various zoonotic pathogens. Bacterial zoonosis can occur in a shared environment between humans and rats, especially in human communities and agricultural areas. , particularly pathogenic and multidrug-resistant strains, is a significant public health concern that is transmitted by rats.

However, little is known about the mechanisms that might underpin this relationship between the placenta and the heart. A new paper in Development leverages conditional mouse knockouts to explore this link in detail.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is one of the deadliest cancers because of its high invasiveness and low survival. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are closely associated with the tumor cell proliferation, metastasis and immunosuppression. As a member of the FOX family, forkhead box F2 (FOXF2) was down-regulated in ESCC.
