The emergence of multidrug resistant bacterial pathogens and the increase of antimicrobial resistance constitutes a major health challenge, leading to intense research efforts being focused on the discovery of novel antimicrobial compounds. In this study, endophytes were isolated from different parts of plant (leaves, wood and latex) belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family and known to produce antimicrobial compounds, and chemically characterised using Molecular Network in order to discover novel antimicrobial molecules. One fungal endophyte extract obtained from latex showed significant antimicrobial activity with Minimal Inhibitory Concentration on methicillin-resistant at 16 µg/mL. The chemical investigation of this fungus ( genus) extract led to the isolation of 5 stephensiolides compounds, four of which demonstrated antibacterial activity. Stephensiolide I and G showed the highest antibacterial activity on MRSA with a MIC at 4 and 16 µg/mL respectively.

Cellobiose lipids (CBLs) are a class of glycolipid biosurfactants produced by various fungal strains. These compounds have gained significant interest due to their surface-active and antifungal properties, which are comparable to traditional synthetic surfactants and antimicrobials. Despite their potential applicability in various cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and agricultural formulations, significantly less research has been focused on their production and purification in comparison to other glycolipid biosurfactants, such as mannosylerythritol lipids (MELs) and sophorolipids.

Cushing's disease is a rare endocrine disorder characterized by hypercortisolism. Chronic elevated cortisol levels can lead to dysfunction or complications in multiple organs of systems, including cardiovascular, glucose, and bone metabolism, severely impacting patients' quality of life and posing life-threatening risks. Surgery is the first-line treatment for Cushing's disease.

Histone acetyltransferases (HATs), and histone deacetylases (HDACs), are two competitive enzymes regulating histone acetylation. Histone acetylation is reduced in Alzheimer's disease (AD) brains, and evidence has shown a synergistic regulation of HDACs and HATs activities.
